Another great client success story to share this week! Ian Thompson is a person I’ve known of for decades, as our journalistic careers often overlapped. I never met him personally, and we often saw things differently, but I always respected and read his perspective.
I was thrilled when he reached out last year for book help. He’d written a deep, interesting book, a nonfiction study of where things went wrong for Nova Scotia and how we can right them. We had lunch and talked about his book, and how I could help.
We started with a developmental edit, which is when I read your manuscript as a slush-pile editor would, and help you upgrade it so that they read it and want to be the ones to publish it. I helped him create a pitch that he could send to publishers. He soon had an excellent offer from Pottersfield Press, and his book will be published this fall.
Congratulations Ian! And if YOU, dear reader, need help crossing into the land of published authors, contact me and we’ll get it done – write now!
